Community Legal Assistance Saturday Program (CLASP)
Substantive area: General legal information for anyone that attends. Attorneys, paralegals, and law school students assist clients in a wide range of legal areas. Attorneys provide advice and referrals to other organizations.

Bankruptcy
Ch. 7 Bankruptcy
Substantive area: General information on the procedure of bankruptcy, alternatives to bankruptcy, who can file, where and how to proceed, and short consultations about client’s individual situation.
Ch. 7 Bankruptcy Form Completion
Substantive area: Attorneys complete bankruptcy filing forms and schedules on behalf of clients in pro per.
Family Law
Substantive area: Broad family law advice assistance including dissolutions, child custody, visitation, child support, and spousal support. Assistance includes completing judicial council forms and educating the client on how to proceed in court.
Oakland General Family Law:
Spanish Family Law - with Centro Legal de la Raza
Substantive area: Broad family law advice assistance including dissolutions, child custody, visitation, child support, and spousal support. Only for monolingual Spanish Speakers.
Family Law Day of Court - with the Superior Court and the Self-Help Center
Family Law Status Conference Clinic - with the Superior Court and the Self-Help Center
Substantive area: Procedural assistance with family law cases after case has been filed. Volunteers focus on drafting Findings and Order After Hearing, DissoMaster Calculations and answering litigant questions.
Substantive area: Procedural assistance with family law cases after case has been filed. Volunteers assist with all steps of Dissolution, Legal Separation and Parentage cases, from service to final judgments.
Shriver Custody Project
Substantive area: Family law. Volunteer attorneys represent pro se litigants at short cause hearings involving child custody and visitation. Involves day of court limited scope representation.

Disaster Law Volunteer Opportunities
Legal Access Alameda leads the Disaster Legal Assistance Collaborative (DLAC). DLAC is a coalition of nonprofits, legal aid organizations, government entities, and law firms in California working together to offer free legal services to the communities in the aftermath of natural disasters.
